Linger Less
“Don’t linger when you need to run!” —Unknown
Have you ever lingered in an inactive environment too long?
You start to wonder what’s keeping you there and ask yourself if it’s connected to fear or some deeper form of guilt.
The truth is that every season has an ending; and every race has a finish-line.
It takes courage to acknowledge the signs and inner knowing's that whisper
— it’s time to go now — in our ears.
Expired time spent in outgrown spaces where we are no longer being stretched, can and will stunt our growth; it encourages stagnation, and makes us unavailable to thrive where destined.
Answer the call to go where you are most needed.
Being uncomfortable in new spaces is necessary to gain confidence and wisdom in subject areas that were once unknown.
No pain no gain.
We all feel a certain pull toward people, places, and things at a particular time in our lives; we also feel a certain tug away from the things that are no longer serving us.
Ask Yourself?
- What lessons have I learned from the spaces I’ve entered into?
- What spaces am I lingering where I should be running?
- Do I feel excitement and positive energy in my environments?
